Another great story from another great Christian Fiction Author. Apparently there is a part one, and I will have to check my garage to see if I've already read it, or check it out from the Library. This was an excellent read. I hope there will be a part 2.
I can't wait to see what Tessa does next. That's girl had my blood boiling! I've only known one or two books that I've read that i didn't like. I had never read anything by Anna Black before. She grabbed my attention at the very beginning, she kept it real, funny and interesting. Loved it I actually loved this book. I was soooo excited for the couple,I'm just abt sure there were times I was like "huh". Wow Really great book.
See a Problem?
Looking forward to my next read. Mar 26, Hyacinth rated it it was amazing Shelves: In compliance with FTC guidelines, my friend received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads and suggested I read it as well. Well, Anna Black does it again! This is the second book of her's that I've read with a 5 star rating. She is batting two for two. I couldn't help but compare the writings of Ms. Dunlap, both women are excellent writers.
Their books will keep you coming back for more. While reading this book, I kept thinking if Ms. Dunlap could get her editor I loved her dad though, Mr. Green was the business. This book was pop, pop, sizzle, sizzle, BOOM! There were characters all up in this book. I laughed and talked to the book the whole time I read the book.
Tiffany was the business woman we all want to be.
I'm Doin' Me 2 (I'm Doin' Me, book 2) by Anna Black
I don't want to say too much to ruin the story but that last scene was cold blooded and I loved the fact that Mr. Green finally put his foot down. I will definitely be reading more works by this author. By luck, Tiffany landed in the spot light, well more so behind it. She's doin' her as the producer and writer of a hit show called Boy Crazy.
I'm Doin' Me 2
When her creative direction goes right, her professional career goes left. By chance, she runs into Kory, an old friend from high school. She is floating on cloud nine, but when jealousy rears its ugly head in Hollywood, its only fitting that her rain cloud bursts and all hell breaks loose. I enjoyed this read tremendously. I have been in a book funk since By luck, Tiffany landed in the spot light, well more so behind it. I have been in a book funk since the New Year and haven't really gotten into many books as I'd hoped, but this read gave me life.
The plot flowed and was filled with drama. A little more suspense could have been added and some scenes were predictable but the characters and their interactions gave the storyline some flair. There was a satisfying ending, but it made me wonder if there could be more to come as Anna Black is known for having different characters from other books appear elsewhere. Feb 16, Hooskadooo rated it it was amazing Shelves: The book grabs your attention right from the start. It does get a little monotonous at some points with the "speaking and not speaking. I received this book as a first reads giveaway.
Sep 13, Michelle Burns rated it it was amazing. This book grabs your attention from the start and holds it until the finish.
I have read all this authors books. She's an excellent writer. Tessa is a piece of work. That's why she patterned her life according to the will of those who claimed to have her best interests at heart: After "godly" advice leaves her beaten, humiliated, and handcuffed in the backseat of a police car, Reyna decides it's time to do things her way. She's determined that she no longer needs anyone, especially God, but her sudden change of heart leads her down a delusional path that just might destroy her. Will the relationship Reyna once had with God be enough to pluck out the root of bitterness and resentment before the enemy totally consumes her?
What will it take for Reyna to realize that the love and acceptance she has been longing for is right in front of her? Campbell is the author of six awarding-winning Christian Fiction novels.
