Over the course of time Bea has fallen in love with him and she is afraid he will never feel the same way about her. It turns out all it took was their latest client and a smoking ad campaign for them to give in to their desire. I think the ad campaign, especially the red scarf was a nice touch and a great tie in to their fantasies. I think the characters are well developed and the story flows nicely. This novella from Carina Press is an enjoyable read that I would recommend. I give Coin Operated 3 flaming hearts.

Bea is a young woman who puts her trust where he least expects it. The story is a very fast past read, and for a short story is very strong. Ginny does an exceptional job of reeling her readers in. I will definitely be adding this author to my auto buy list - and I must check for any backlist. She nodded and he cupped her chin, turning her face up to find her eyes glossy with gathering tears. Eli kissed the corner of her mouth. Oh, and the title of the book? It comes from a scene at the end of the book, involving quarters. You will not want to miss it! Aug 03, Laura rated it did not like it Shelves: My standards for short erotica are rather low, I'm not expecting a lot of backstory or a lot of hurdles or anything.
What didn't work for me here was the idea that the couple had been close friends for a while at no point did their interactions seem like two people who had the type of history Bea rattles off at one point, including comforting her grieving her deceased father and the idea that they were partners at work when she seems so subservient already in their non-sex interactions.
For D My standards for short erotica are rather low, I'm not expecting a lot of backstory or a lot of hurdles or anything. As it was, Bea doing his laundry, being called into his office, the assumption that she needs to leave the firm, it all didn't work for me. I quite liked Talk Dirty to Me , so I'm willing to read more of this author, it wasn't a dealbreaker or anything.
Jul 21, Tina rated it it was amazing Shelves: From the beginning with Eli's fantasy of Bea to the very end I was drawn in. I liked that the author let you get to know the characters first and only had fantasies before they took the next step.
Eli was dominant but was afraid of it due to past incident and that adds to the tension because Bea really wants that side of him. Office romances are sometimes hard to pull of heat level: Office romances are sometimes hard to pull off but I think the author made this believable since they are both the bosses and some of it takes place after hours.

I will definitely try and get more by this author! I would also like to say that this is the second book I have read by Carina Press and I have to say the quality of the storytelling and editing is just as good as other top publishing house. I will definitely try some other books by this publisher. Sep 16, Jo My House of Books rated it liked it. I wasn't certain what to expect from Ms. A debut author, an unknown -- a lot of variables that could backfire.
Ultimately, I believe she'll be an author to watch. Coin Operated, however, left me asking "And then? The prose wasn't as emotional or as intense as I thought it might be, given the layers of BDSM in the novella. Maybe I wanted to see their continued exploration of Eli's and Bea's relationship in and out of the office, I'm not sure. That being said, I'll certainly read Ms. Glass' next release and hope to see more from her in the future straight-up sexy contemporary, perhaps? Finally Bea's idea for an ad campaign finally pushed Eli to take action, and amid the roars of washers and scents of detergents some 'dirty laundry' got washed. For a novella, I thought this was a fun read.
There were some moments when I felt I could just smacked Eli for being so indecisive, but overall, it was a fun, erotic story. Aug 23, April rated it liked it. Short, but you get enough story that it reads like a quick novel. The hero and heroine have somewhat vivid and extreme sexual fantasies about each other for the first part of the book, and it's a good way to delay satisfaction, create sexual tension, yet at the same time have explicit sex scenes early in an erotic romance.

Elliot and Bea don't literally get it on inside a washer, but it's almost that weird. It made me lose all interest in the big exciting sexy bizarre finale. It didn't help that Elliot is a confused, inconsistent character and you never know what the hell he's going to say. It seems like a bad pun to call him wishy-washy, b I had actually thought the covers of this series kind of funny -- until I read this short novella and discovered that laundry isn't a metaphor, but an actual part of the story.

They traveled together often, shared intimate moments, and she even helped him through a bout of food poisoning once.
But they never crossed the line. This only heightened the sexual tension and ma Great book from a new author. Miss Glass does a good job setting up the sexual tension quickly between the two stars, and it flows from there.
